Colleagues in my other career, covering combat sports, often ask why I’m so infatuated with electronic dance music. The list is long: the community, self-expression, music and theatrics. But number one, by a mile: it’s our thing. 

My loving, supportive wife would sooner drive spikes through her ears than listen to me ramble about Ilia Topuria’s ascent to UFC stardom. I get it. And try as I may, I’ll never be passionate about her latest, steamy bathtime romance novel. Raving is our shared spark—it illuminates us equally.

Take a Laser Bath at the Crater Stage

The urge to send it halfway across the continent grew tenfold once Lost Land debuted its Crater Stage. The 360° stage took social media by storm with its wild medley of lasers, lights and sounds.

Thankfully, Excision Presents haven’t forgotten about the Pacific Northwest starve. The Crater Stage makes its Bass Canyon debut 11 months after its Lost Lands unveiling.
