HM PREMIERE: Mangled Carpenter unleashes new visualizer for ‘The Hanging of Judas’

Mangled Carpenter is a faith-based death-grind band formed by Seth Metoyer and Kristeffor Olson during their high school years. Today, the band is proud to premiere the new visualizer for the track “The Hanging of Judas,” which comes from their most recent release, Under the Shadow. Metoyer and Olson wrote the album through much of the 2020 pandemic with Metoyer recording the guitars and vocals and engineering the album from his studio in Monterey and Olson providing bass tracks from Connecticut.
We spoke with Metoyer about the song:
“Under the Shadow is our debut full-length album … and all songs are biblically based with accompanying scripture references. The video for the song ‘The Hanging of Judas’ is about Judas, his betrayal, and eventual demise. I can’t wait for heavy music fans to experience the vast brutality of this album.”
Influenced by secular bands like Cattle Decapitation, Dying Fetus, Pig Destroyer and faith-based bands like Fleshkiller, Becoming the Archetype, and Abated Mass of Flesh, you can follow the band on Facebook.
