The song’s narrator seems to have found their soulmate online, someone with whom they share the same dreams and passions, and, despite the warnings going off in his head, he gives in to the temptation of seeing the person in real life. The alarms were well-founded, as the romance quickly turns to confusion, when it’s revealed the love interest doesn’t exist outside of his computer.
