Nate Parrish introduces upcoming LP with new single, ‘Religion of Relevance’

Kutless guitarist and punk rock songwriter Nate Parrish has just released “Religion of Relevance,” the first song off his sophomore LP, coming later this year.
On the heels of his 2020 debut release, I’m a Wreck, Parrish forges ahead with the same relentless DIY approach to creating music that pairs instrumental grit with countercultural lyricism. The first track off his new album takes a stab at the culturally relevant celebrities that society teaches us to worship.
“Truth is, everyone is religious in some way. It’s this weird parasitic relationship where the one we worship has to work to stay relevant so as to earn our worship, and we need them to be our idol because we’d rather bow to a god that we made.”
Featuring Jason Turner on bass, Thomas Freckleton (Silent Planet) on backing vocals, and Ethan Luck (The OC Supertones, Demon Hunter, Relient K) on drums, “Religion of Relevance” is a collaborative grassroots effort that showcases Parrish’s punk roots — the same approach that ushered in the underground success of I’m A Wreck and undoubtedly what fans can expect in his upcoming release.
