May 31, 2024, The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan was the place to be as Plush rolled into town on a tour stop for a sold-out show.  Let me say, if you weren’t there, you missed out on a spectacular show.

March Skies kicked off the night with a great set of hard rock music that set the tone for the evening. Hailing from just outside of Flint, Michigan, this band didn’t have to travel far to show the crowd that local bands can rock with the best of them. You could definitely hear the support from the fans, who whooped and hollered to show their love. With Ashley Bell, who gave me an Amy Lee of Evanescence kind of vibe on vocals. Adam Delahaye on drums, Rob Horn on guitar and Nate Cocke on bass guitar. March Skies is primed to rock and whatever stage they hit; you’re going to be in for a good time.

As if the evening couldn’t get any more hyped, The Bites kicked things into high gear. Based out of Los Angeles, California, The Bites brought the party vibe with their classic 80s style rock n roll that sweeps you off your feet, taking you on a whirlwind of fun and good times. Lead singer Jordan Tyler is like a mix of Stephen Pearcy of RattKevin DuBrow of Quiet Riot and Joey Belladonna of Anthrax. This dude is a party master and doesn’t hold back. Joined on stage with Zack Currier on bass guitar, Jono Richer on guitar and Mark Hylander on drums, The Bites deliver a magnetic performance that would make anyone have an enjoyable time.

Plush was greeted with thunderous hoots and applause as they made their way onstage. Having just formed in 2020, Plush has seen a quick trajectory upward in the music scene. To give you an idea of what kind of talent we’re dealing with, go and listen to Plush’s cover of Heart’s “Barracuda”. Moriah Formica’s vocals/guitar would give Heart’s, Ann Wilson, a big smile. Not just because Formica’s vocals are that good, but also knowing the state of women in rock will continue to carry on. With Bella Perron on lead guitar, Ashley Suppa on bass guitar and Faith Powell on drums, Plush is a shining example that girls rock.

With songs like “Left Behind”“Find The Beautiful”“Better Off Alone” and “Hate”. Plush is racking up a nice catalogue of music to keep the masses rocking. As I’ve stated early on, if you missed this show, you missed a great one. Keep your eyes out for whenever any of these bands are playing near you, you won’t regret it.
