Prince’s 2006 album 3121 gets expanded edition treatment

## The star’s estate and NPG Records celebrate the 20th anniversary of his first album to debut at No.1 on the Billboard 200

Prince’s NPG Records and The Prince Estate have announced _3121 Expanded Edition_,arriving worldwide 11 December digitally and in 3LP + Blu-ray and 2CD + Blu-ray sets.

Celebrating the 20th year anniversary of Prince’s 2006 album, the release revisits a defining chapter in his later career through additional studio recordings and live concert footage from the Prince vault.

Originally released 21 March 2006, through NPG Records and Universal Music, _3121_ became Prince’s first album to debut at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and his fourth album to top the chart. Following _Musicology_ and its accompanying tour, the album continued a period of renewed mainstream attention.

Taking its name from the Los Angeles home where Prince hosted parties and recording sessions, _3121_ moves from the spare funk of _Black Sweat_ and the balladry of _Te Amo Corazón_ to the guitar-driven _Fury_. Across its 12 tracks, tightly constructed songs sit alongside layered grooves, vocal interplay and flashes of instrumental virtuosity. The album and its songs earned multiple GRAMMY nominations.

The expanded digital edition pairs the original 12-track album with 10 additional raw recordings, including acoustic versions of _The Word, Love_ and _Te Amo Corazón,_ alongside _Time of Ur Life, The Streets of Panama, Another Girl, Glass Cutter_ and more. The physical editions pair _3121_ with a Blu-ray featuring live concert footage filmed in Las Vegas in 2007.

The celebration also includes _3121 Las Vegas Live_, a live album arriving on 3LP crystal blue vinyl and 2CD for Record Store Day Black Fridayon 27 November.

_3121 Las Vegas Concert_ will also be released theatrically in the US and Canada beginning 3 December for a limited time, with tickets on sale 11 November. Presented in stunning 4K and Dolby Atmos at equipped theatres, the 154-minute live concert film spans chart-topping hits, fan favourites, deep cuts and extended jams.

_3121 Las Vegas Live_ brings that music to the stage, capturing more than two hours of Prince’s 20 January 2007, performance in Las Vegas. The set spans his catalog, moving between _Purple Rain, Kiss, If I Was Your Girlfriend_ and _U Got the Look, selections from 3121_ and _Musicology,_ and covers including _Pass the Peas, Crazy_ and _Play That Funky Music._
