Three, six, nine, it's time for Steve Aoki to fire up the wayback machine once again with a familiar collaborator in tow.

The hit-making producer has teamed up with Lil Jon for a reboot of the latter's iconic track, "Get Low." Released in 2003 by Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, the song left an indelible mark on the music industry, particularly in popularizing crunk, a sub-genre of hip-hop that gained mainstream attention in the aughts.

Aoki's latest effort to deliver nostalgia arrives in the wake of his remix of another turn-of-the-century hit, Yellowcard's "Ocean Avenue," which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. Combined with Lil Jon's always-charismatic presence, the DJ's reputation for reviving the classics suggests that this reboot will likely be successful in breathing new life into a song that defined an era of popular music.

Not to mention, the two have an established party-starting track record going back to 2011, when they released "Turbulence." They've rekindled that spirit in "Get Lower," transforming the original record into an electro house banger.

"Jon and I have been friends for years, and whenever we get together on a track, it's a party," Aoki said in a press release shared with EDM.com. "When we performed at Tomorrowland last year, the energy was off the charts, and we knew we had to create another festival anthem. 'Get Low' is one of the most hype tracks of all time, and it’s an honor to work with Jon to bring it back for the next generation."
