Old friends and DC scene vets Ted Leo, Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Michael Hampton (Faith, Fake Names) and Sohrab Habibion (Edsel, Obits) got together as Foreign Correspondents to pay tribute to ’70s French-Canadian power-pop artist Michel Pagliaro on a new 7″ single that’s out via Outer Battery Records.

The band tackle two Pagliaro songs — 1971’s “Lovin’ You Ain’t Easy” (a hit in the UK) and 1970’s “We’re Dancin'” — and play ’em like it was those days as well. You can listen to both, and Pagliaro’s originals, below.

The 7″ is available in four pressings, each with unique, period-appropriate cover art (all designed by Habibion) and vinyl color. Pick those up here and check out the cover art to all four below.

Sohrab’s current band, SAVAK, release their fifth album this week.
