Last night, April 26, the Dance, Kid, Dance Tour 2025 arrived at Omaha’s CHI Health Center on a cool evening. The event hosted by the renowned Shinedown, who brought along a group of Ohio to kick off this leg of the tour. This marked their second night, following the previous evening’s performance at Wells Fargo in Des Moines, promising a long and thrilling night for attendees.

The 16,000-capacity venue steadily filled as the direct opening, Ohio’s renowned rock band, Beartooth, prepared to take the stage. I was fortunate to photographing them nearly two years when they served as support for Trivium at The Admiral, formerly Sokol Auditorium. Beartooth’s frontman, Caleb Shomo, is a captivating performer, putting his full energy when he is on the stage. They started off the classic track, “The Lines” from their 2014 album, Disgusting, and delivered impressive hits such as “The Past is Dead” and “Disease.” The of powerful screaming, melodic, and dynamic performance was truly remarkable, an experience not to be missed.

Finally, Shinedown took the stage shortly after 9:05 p.m., opening with “Dance, Kid, Dance,” a few months ago as the official single from their forthcoming eighth studio album, which also features another new single, “Three Six Five.” Shinedown performed a mix of songs from various albums, including well-known tracks such as “Second Chance,” “Sound of Madness,” and “Planet Zero.” The setlist even included a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”

The band’s dynamic stage setup showcased crystal-clear sound and impressive pyrotechnics. A standout feature was the massive video screens behind the band, stunning images and videos throughout the performance, creating a central focal point for the band’s performance.

Shinedown is known for their high-energy performance, with fans noting the band’s strong stage presence and engaging interactions with audience.

The tour continues across the U.S., stopping in cities like New York and Minneapolis, before concluding in Pryor, Oklahoma, on August 31. Attending a Shinedown concert during the Dance, Kid, Dance World Tour is an experience highly worth considering.
