East LA ska-punks Matamoska have announced a new self-titled album, due May 17 via Bad Time Records (pre-order). It features guest vocalists from two of their labelmates, Catbite’s Brittany Luna and Flying Raccoon Suit’s Jessica Jeansonne, and the first single is “Ska Show.” It’s a ’90s-style street punk/ska hybrid about the joys of throwing an LA backyard DIY ska show (and the aggressive tactics of cops who break up the show), and it’s a real anthem that you’ll be singing along to after one listen. The video was filmed at one of those very shows (directed by PJ McManus & Nicky Ciulla) and you can check that out below.
